The second annual conference of the NSERC - UQAT Industrial Chair on northern biodiversity in a mining context will take place on September 16. The event that was originally scheduled last spring has been postponed for a few months due to the global pandemic. The conference will be presented entirely online, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Students and researchers will present their progress to date and some results of their work within the Chair. Partners of the Chair will participate by presenting some of their activities. In addition, guest speakers will present research related to the themes addressed by the Chair.
The mission of the Chair is to increase knowledge creation and dissemination regarding northern biodiversity in order to be able to develop strategies to reduce the impacts of development throughout the mine life cycle on northern biodiversity in the context of cumulative impacts including climate change.
Registration for the conference is free but mandatory to receive the login information giving access to the activities.
