The current health crisis has had significant financial impacts on many students. The Ministère would like to support higher learning institutions in creating circumstances that promote academic success, and be more responsive to students' immediate needs with special financial assistance.
This support takes the form of reimbursement of expenses* related to:
*subject to approval by the committee in charge of the program
FULL-TIME student: A maximum of $1,500 per student may be approved.
PART-TIME student: A maximum of $800 per student may be approved.
To be reimbursed, the expense(s) must have been incurred after the declaration of health measures, on March 15, 2020.
The student must:
*Submitted receipts/invoices or supporting documentation must be in the student's name. Any exception must be explained in the Comments section of the form.
The learning institution must ensure that amounts are approved for the most vulnerable individuals, given the current situation. This is why certain more personal information, related to the student's total income or their personal situation is requested on the application form.
The application will be processed within 3-5 working days (determine if the refund is accepted).
After processing, reimbursement will be sent to you in 15 working days.
