Call for papers

The organizing committee invites interested people to submit a communication proposal. Communications can take place in person or remotely by videoconference and be in French or English. Poster communication proposals are also accepted.

The organizing committee encourages 2nd and 3rd cycle university students to submit a communication proposal (oral or poster). Three prizes of $100 will be drawn among all the students who participated.

The conference will cover a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to:

  • The origin of beliefs;
  • Prejudices and stereotypes;
  • The importance of the moral, religious and spiritual convictions of clients as well as therapists during a psychosocial intervention;
  • Attitude change;
  • Political propaganda;
  • The adequacy between beliefs and truth;
  • The impact of social networks on individual and collective beliefs, etc.

Guidelines for submitting a proposal

To submit a communication proposal (oral or poster), you must send an email to guy.leboeuf@uqat.ca including:

  • a summary (Word format) of no more than 500 words;
  • a short bibliography;
  • 3 to 5 keywords linked to the theme of communication.

Deadline for submitting a proposal: May 20th, 2024.

Important

Please specify the type of presentation you wish to make: oral in person, oral by videoconference or by poster.

Your communication proposal should not include your contact details. These must appear on a separate document which must also include:

  • the title of the article.
  • the name of the author (or authors).
  • the email address of the main author, as well as their institutional affiliation.
